Mouse Jolt is designed to relieve the symptons of slow mouse movement resulting from connecting or disconnecting a mouse or keyboard to your computer.
NOTE: It is recommended that you shut down your computer before
plugging in an ADB device (external mouse or keyboard).
These pieces of shareware may be freely distributed, but this read me must acompany any copy. All three files (Application, Control strip and Read me) must be distributed together.
About "Mouse Jolt"
These utilities were written because of the frustration of having to restart my computer after plugging in an external keyboard or mouse.
I have used it on most powerbooks, desk top computers including Power PC models. To date I have found no bugs.
Installing and using "Mouse Jolt"
1) The application:
Simply place "Mouse Jolt" on you hard drive or desk top. When you have the problem of a slow mouse, double click on "Mouse Jolt". After displaying the about dialog, you can click on the "Jolt" button to reset the mouse.
2) The Control strip
If you have the Control Strip module installed (available from Apple), place the "Mouse Jolt control strip" in the "Control Strip Modules" folder inside your System folder. After restarting your computer, the Mouse Jolt module should then appear in the Control Strip bar. Click on the Mouse Jolt module and select "Jolt the mouse" from the popup menu to reset the mouse movement.
